"The administration's attempt to prioritize other peoples' beliefs over necessary health care is unwise, immoral and illegal," Madigan said. "Stranger's beliefs should not dictate whether you are able to receive the health care you need and want."
"The census is a fundamental part of our democracy. We must encourage every person in our country to participate, instead of putting up barriers to prevent people from being counted,” Madigan said in a statement released by her office. “I will take legal action to protect immigrant communities in Illinois and ensure they are represented fairly and accurately.”
“This offender’s violent sexual attacks on women did not end even while in state custody,” Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan said in the statement. “I appreciate the jury’s decision to prevent him from reentering society.”
